The famed London restaurant arrived in Dubai to instant success

The brothers Galvin are names that most foodies will be aware of.
The proud owners of Michelin-starred restaurants in London and Edinburgh, Jeff and Chris have trained and worked with a who’s who of culinary greats. Therefore, news of Galvin Restaurant’s first Dubai iteration is a big deal.
While a bonafide staple for London’s power players, Galvin Dubai is the first branch outside of the UK from the ultra-talented Galvin brothers, and is slowly starting to pick up steam.
The restaurant is set across two floors featuring a dedicated bar area, outdoor terrace and open kitchen pass, allowing diners a chance to experience the creation of Galvin’s gastronomy.
If the modern gentleman’s dining club vibe is enough to entice people through the door, the flavour-packed, British-inspired Mediterranean cuisine is more than enough to get them to stay.
While the Galvins tend to their other restaurants in the UK, their trusty executive chef Luigi Vespero holds the reigns to the kitchen. He’s worked alongside the brothers in London for many years and is as dedicated to producing a quality menu with dishes that aren’t designed to be shared, but are about eating ‘family style’.
With influences coming from all around the Med coast, the menu offers classics such as steak tartare and escargot a la bourguignonne, as well as North Africa tagines and beef tenderloin with wild mushrooms and bone marrow tarte fine.
Like the rest of the restaurants in City Walk, guests are still discovering them, but after trying Galvin there is little doubt that they will be back soon.
