Lima

Known for its The sophisticated-yet-fun atmosphere and superb Peruvian cuisine

If you had never tried Peruvian food a few years ago, if you live in Dubai, the chances are that you’ve tried it at least once by now.

Over the last 18-months, no fewer than eleven Peruvian restaurants have opened in the Emirate alone. And that trend seems to have spread to Abu Dhabi.

Peruvian food – for those unaware foodies – is a heady mix of cuisines; that’s down to the country’s multiculturalism, with strong Japanese, Chinese and European influences.

Created by Peruvian chef Virgilio Martinez, whose first restaurant in London has been awarded a prestigious Michelin Star, Lima’s menu takes Peruvian cuisine to another level but – unlike some contemporary chefs attempting to put their own spin on traditional dishes – in keeping with tradition

If sharing is caring, you will feel well-looked-after at Lima Dubai. Martinez’s cuisine is designed and served for collective enjoyment – with platters presented on remarkable tableware in the centre of equally stylish tables, and small dishes provided for each diner on which to collect morsels from the middle.

The young, fun and knowledgeable team is a joy to hang out with, and another reason to consider City Walk one of Dubai’s most up-and-coming areas.
