Have you ever been stuck with a meal that you don’t like? We have all been there. Not only is airplane food not very appealing to many, but having to eat a meal you don’t find appealing is even worse.
We have good news for you though, that might no longer be an issue.
According to The National, Emirates will soon give you the option to pre-order your meal before flight.
United airline is already trialling the service where customers can choose their meal five days to 24 hours before your flight.
What happens if you forget to pre-order your inflight meal? You’ll still be able to choose your meal in flight as its usually done, however it might be a safer choice to pre-order the meal you actually want, rather than being stuck with a different one due to your meal option running out.
This new feature is aimed to reduce food wastage, and enable passengers to fully enjoy the meal they choose.
But before you get your hopes up, Joost Heymeijer from Emirates in-flight catering told The Business Breakfast on Dubai Eye 103.8, that they’re still thinking about different ways to introduce this option and it’s not totally confirmed just yet.
