The PlayStation 5 is officially available in the Middle East.
And to celebrate its arrival here in Dubai, the PS5 was taken to new heights with a special launch event dubbed Play Has No Limits.
Sony PlayStation – alongside a host of regional influencers – took over the iconic Dubai building and its helipad for a special unboxing and console preview.
Special guests include gamer Hakam Karim ‘Hakoom’, HUda Kattan and gamer daughter Nour, as well as Tech Pills, True Gaming, VGA4A, Gamer Snack and Ahmed Al Nasheet.

For those unawares, Sony has sold more PS5’s in just 12 hours of pre-orders, than it did in the first 12 weeks of the PS4.
Last month Sony opened up pre-orders for the next-generation console, but then shut down the service almost immediately. PlayStation then had to issue an apology, after seeing extremely high demand. That led to server crashes and many gamers being unable to secure a console.
Despite the mishap, Sony has said that despite the outages it still sold more PS5 units in that short period than the PS4 did in its first 12 weeks on shelves.
