Thomas Bragg stayed in one of the first completed villas on Coronation Island, located in ‘Latin America’

Thomas Bragg – one third of popular YouTube channel Yes Theory – has become one of the first guests to ever stay the night on Dubai’s World Islands.

Bragg spent the night in a Maldives-style villa located on Coronation Island, which hosts a series of villas built on the southernmost portion of ‘South America’ on the World Islands.

The series of villas were created by Seven Tides International, in a development that was originally slated to open sometime towards the end of 2018. The video shows three different types of villas – all completed and “smell like new” according to Bragg – but that are not yet open to the general public.

The vlogger thanked both MyDubai and VisitDubai for helping facilitate the stay.

“When I came out to Dubai to try and make a video about the world islands, I was not expecting to arrive at something that’s this built out,” says Bragg in the video.

“I was totally expecting to make a video about empty islands off the coast of Dubai.”

“It’s funny because you can still see there’s like some construction material just on the floor, and then you turn around and it’s just like an absolutely luxurious villa right here with its own pool” Bragg continues in the video, which is set to hit one million views on YouTube.

During the video, Bragg meets the Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem (who is currently involved in Seven Tides International) who says that “hopefully we’ll open in December,” referencing the Coronation Island development.

It is also revealed that the development is more or less self-sufficient, recycling its own water and waste – and only sending materials such as plastic, glass and tin to be recycled back to Dubai.

Bragg stays the night, enjoying the villa’s infinity pool that overlooks the Dubai skyline. You can check out the full video below:
