The Chronomaster Revival Shadow is fit for the Dark Knight himself

Zenith is having a fun time digging through its archives.

Earlier this year it launched an upgraded Type 20 Pilot’s watch, and now it has turned its attention to the Chronomaster range.

The new Chronomaster Revival (also called, the ‘Shadow’) is an all-black re-launch of a previously unseen 1970s prototype. The monochrome timepiece will be part of Zenith’s re-released A384 style of the El Primero.

Featuring the same El Primero 4061 movement, the Chronomaster Revival Shadow is inspired by the black PVD steel chronograph prototypes that Zenith was considering launching in the 1970s.

The new watch is 4-millimetre slimmer than the original, with the shadow look created out of micro-blasted titanium, with dual shades of black and grey across the dial and the bracelet.

There’s no date window on this new model, but that would only get in the way of that richly-textured dial.

The new watch is available right now at all good Zenith boutiques, for around US$8,700.
