Accessories are made from the brand’s signature premium leather

Berluti is best-known for creating luxury footwear and class-leading leather clothing for some of the world’s elite. But now, it wants to conquer your home.

Berluti Objects has just unveiled a limited-edition collection of products including designs from accessory heavyweights such as Carl Aubock II, Gae Auelenti and Tobia Scarpa. The designs have been clothed in supple Berluti painted leather.

Kris Van Assche – the brand’s creative director – picked up some of the world’s best-loved home designs from several historic European designers, then wrapping them in Berluti’s Venezia leather.

For those unawares, Berluti’s leather skins are selected for their ability to hold colour, then massaged with oils to create its soft and supple feel.

The leather material has been used in a variety of brass desktop accessories, from a letter opener to what must surely be one of the most luxurious wastebaskets on the market. The range also includes picture frames, bowls, and leather sculptural vases.

The vibrant colour palette was inspired by a trip that Van Assche took to Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret’s master workshop in Chandigarh, India.
