The Modern Tailoring capsule collection is meant to be worn everyday

Dior has launched a new menswear capsule collection that is based on the art of modern tailoring.

The general idea, put together by Dior Menswear Creative Director Kim Jones, is that while everyone enjoys a well-made suit, sometimes tailoring can get a little bit stuffy. Enter the new collection, which is meant to be worn every day.

Jones paid heed to the brand’s house style, and looked into the history books to devise the next collection. The line includes three stalwart jackets, along with three pairs of trousers – off of which have been lightened to make wearing them that much easier.

Each piece has also been built to either be dressed-up or down on occasion. This mix-and-match philosophy extends to the three neutral colours.

The most structured piece is the double-breasted jacket. Then there is a more relaxed suit jacket, followed by a third Harrington silhouette jacket.

All three styles come with a matte black CD pin that harks back to the original Christian Dior Bar suit from 1947.

The Modern Tailoring capsule collection is available right now for US$650.
