The new motor will go from zero to a hundred in just 2.5 seconds

Ferrari has removed the roof of its SD90 Stradale motor to create an all-new Spider convertible variant of the hybrid supercar.

Drivers will now be able to go from 0-100kph without the roof in just 2.5 seconds (which is just 0.3 second slower than the fixed roof version). The sound from the 986 horsepower engine is actually piped in to the driver’s cabin, letting you enjoy the sounds of the four-liter V8 both with or without the roof.

The Spider edition will hit a top speed of 340-kilometers-per-hour.

The Stradale Spider can also be fitted with an optional Assetto Fiorano upgrade pack, which fives the SF90 additional shock absorbers, a host of carbon fiber and titanium components and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

The hybrid motor can run exclusively on its electric motors (if you so wish). So if you are just meandering around a city, it will give you 25 kilometers of range powered just on its batteries.

The new Stradale Spider will be available on roads near you by next summer, 2021. It will cost around US$560,000 when it does arrive (which is about US$75 more expensive than the regular-roofed version).
