Alexander McQueen footwear isn’t just confined to those spongy mainstream platforms – dig a little deeper into its footwear offering and you’ll strike sneaker-gold with Pre Spring Summer 2020’s Tread Slicks.
A descendent of AW18’s wildly popular Tread Boot, these statement-screaming hybrid’s offer up a punk attitude with a side dish of skater-sensibility. Characterised by the oversized rubber sole, the wintery nature of these workwear-esque boots gets dialled right down through the summery addition of a canvas upper.
Pick up a pair in punchy red, inky blue or make like the Esquire team and stick to monochrome – we’re letting the silhouette do all the rocking and rolling here. As Jagger once sung: ‘sole survivor, that’s what I’m talking about”,,,

However it wasn’t just Esquire who decided to cast their creative eye over the brands new ‘footwear pillar’. Esquire’s shoe of the summer has been interpreted by photographers across the world, with artists from Peckham, London to Bourgeauville, France, all focusing their lenses to create a smorgasbord of creative interpretations. We picked out our favourites, below.

Adama Jalloh – Peckham (London), UK

Eddie Wrey – Berkshire, UK

Wing Shya

Julia Noni – Bourgeauville, France
