Coach has tapped in some celebrity zing in the form of Michael B. Jordan to launch their new CitySole footwear collection. This is not the first time the brand and Jordan have collaborated. The Hollywood star is the first global face of Coach Menswear, and has had a hand behind the 2019 collection as well.

The new line has three options to choose from — the CitySole Court, the CitySole Runner, and the CitySole Lowline.

According to the release, the CitySole Court references classic basketball sneakers with a triangular toe box, pivot point on the outsole, and distinctive 3M seam taping. The CitySole Runner draws from the silhouettes of running shoes, with a robust heel and grooved details for added traction. The CitySole Lowline is Coach’s updated take on a classic low-top—a versatile, minimalist sneaker that can be worn in any context.

“Sneakers are a wardrobe staple for me,” said Jordan.

“As someone who grew up around New York and is constantly on the go, Coach CitySole’s blend of fashion and comfort is the right balance for an everyday sneaker wearer like me.”

In a press release, Coach’s creative director Stuart Vevers pointed to the inspiration brought on by the “unique energy” of New York.

“Like everything we design, CitySole was created with this in mind,” Vevers said. “It’s a collection for people who live always on, spontaneous and adventurous lives.”

The new CitySole sneakers will be sold at Coach.com, and in 700 of the brand’s stores globally,
