Sneaker upstart Axel Arigato opens its first permanent store in the Middle East

If you don’t own a pair of Axel Arigato sneakers, one of your friends more than likely does.

Aside from the aesthetically clean kicks finding their way onto the feet of the region’s sneakerheads, further evidence of Axel Arigato’s growth comes with its recently opened permanent store in Dubai Mall’s Level Shoes mega store.

Following the success of its previous temporary store, the new space mirrors the brand’s visual identity— adopting modern materials and industrial textures from existing Axel Arigato stores in London, Copenhagen and Stockholm. In the Dubai Mall store, the stone display units—made from yellow travertine—have been installed to juxtapose the futuristic design direction elsewhere.

Created to fill a niche of superior quality products made with cutting-edge design at an affordable price, Axel Arigato’s rapid success has been based on an ethos to forgo traditional channels of marketing and focused on engaging directly with its customers. The new space boasts a complete offering of both men’s and women’s footwear, accessories and a limited-edition capsule collection exclusive to and inspired by Dubai, to mark its opening this month.
