A new phone launch is always followed by excitement and projected sales figures by the company. But, there’s one new phone that may have been a lot more anticipated by the masses than one would have first thought. Samsung’s new foldable flagship phone has completely sold out in the UAE, on just the first day of sales.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, with a starting price of AED5,499, went on sale on Friday but flew off the shelves before the day was out, according to Arabian Business.
On their website, Samsung says more stock will be delivered on February 18th.
The smartphone flips open, like a case, opening into a 6.7-inch screen. The ultrathin glass used for the screen can be folded and unfolded more than 200,000 times and resists scratches, according to Samsung. It has dual 12MP cameras for wide and ultra wide angles, and featured modes like slow-motion, panoramic, and 4K video recording.
When folded, the Galaxy Z Flip is almost square shaped, and it’s the perfect palm-sized device that is a lot more usable than the Samsung Galaxy S20, and as an added bonus, fits in your jeans pocket a lot better.
Galaxy Z Flip comes with 256 GB internal storage and is available in two colours, mirror black and mirror purple.
