Samsung’s big Galaxy Unpacked event is barely a week away, and the company is expected to unveil a trio of next-generation handsets.
While the new Samsung S-series phone is expected to be announced (in both regular and pro versions) what really has gadget fans in a tizzy is a new foldable smartphone, supposedly named the Galaxy Z Flip.
That Galaxy Z Flip appears to have been spotted in advance of the big launch, in a 19-second video posted by Ben Geskin. The leaked video shows the rumoured flip phone in action.
When closed, the Galaxy Z Flip looks like a regular clamshell phone. There’s a small screen on the flipped side, along with the camera sensor.

Unfolding the phone exposes the full-length display, folded at the middle. Like that Samsung Galaxy Fold, there is a hinge at the back that protects the folded phone – however, it’s expected this one will be far better at protecting for both dust and debris.
The device uses similar technology as Motorola’s recently announced Razr smartphone. Both have a similar shape, a full-screen touchscreen display and that classic flip-phone feel from the early 2000s.
Though it hasn’t been confirmed, the Z Flip is expected to be revealed alongside those two Galaxy S handsets. It’s also thought that Samsung will unveil its competitor to Apple’s AirPod Pros – called the Galaxy Buds Pro – on the event on February 11.
