The Samsung Galaxy S20+ has leaked a month early

This is the Samsung Galaxy S20+, revealed almost a full month before it should have been.

Samsung will unveil its next-generation Galaxy series during its Unpacked 2020 event, on February 11th. Samsung is expected to unveil three new phones (including a foldable one) but the main event is almost certainly the S20+.

Shame then that the Korean firm couldn’t keep it a secret for another few weeks. Full specs of the new phone have been revealed, as well as images of the device’s front and back.

The folks at XDA-Developers were sent the anonymous images, and include the full design of the new phone. The most surprising addition to the new phone is the camera setup that includes a rectangular module featuring four cameras, a flash, and what looks like a microphone.

On the right side of the phone, there is a volume rocker and a power button, but the dedicated Bixby – Samsung’s smart assistant – button is no longer present.

The front display features barely-there bezels; that looks to mean the ‘Infinity-O’ display has a less dedicated curve along the sides. Of course, the whole punch front-facing camera remains (although it looks smaller).

Generally, the S+ models of Samsung’s phones are the most high-end – but not this year.

Starting in 2020, Samsung will be unveiling a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra – which is rumoured to come with even more camera smarts (and potentially, a dedicated macro lens for getting up close and personal with your subjects).

While the S20 will have a few different variants around the world, we’re expecting UAE models to feature 5G connectivity and dual-SIM options.
