Bugatti has unveiled a limited edition Chiron Sport, dubbed “Legends of the Sky”.
Only 20 of these cars will be made, and each costs around US$3.5 million a pop.
It was produced to honor the aviation heritage of the supercar maker, and it has almost enough power to take flight itself. The W16 engine boasts a whopping 1,500-horsepower, and 1,180 pound-feet of torque thanks to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Top speed is limited to 500kph (but we reckon it will go vastly quicker than that).

The aptly named ‘Les Legendes du Ciel’ – or Legends of the Sky – comes in a specific tone of gray paint as a nod to some of the French planes that took flight during the 1920s. There is also a white stripe down the entirety of the center of the car.
Rocket panels on either side come adorned with the French flag’s blue, white and red. Those stylings continue inside the cabin, with a whiskey-toned leather seat and dash, along with aluminum accents that are meant to evoke a vintage aesthetic.

“Many successful Bugatti racing drivers, such as Albert Divo, Robert Benoist and Bartolomeo ‘Meo’ Costantini, flew for the French Air Force,” Bugatti’s CEO Stephan Winkelmann said.
“It is therefore almost an obligation for us today to pay tribute to the legends of that time and dedicate a special edition to them.”
Only 20 of the Bugatti Chiron Sport Legends of the Sky Limited Edition will be made. Each will cost around US$3.5 million.
