The next generation of the iconic British SUV, the Land Rover Defender is all set to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor show today.
According to the brand, the new 2020 Land Rover Defender will have next level tech features when compared to previous iterations. Instead of coil suspension the new model will offer air suspension, along with a D7U aluminum monocoque.
Wheels will be available up to 22 inches with a choice of either all-terrain or mud-terrain tires.
The new Land Rover Defender will be globally unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 10 at 10am Dubai time.
According to the release, Land Rover has said of its new car:
“Driven by a passion and respect for the original, the new Defender delivers transformational breadth of capability and advanced all-terrain technologies to redefine adventure for the 21st century. But it remains true to the pioneering spirit that has been a Land Rover hallmark for 71 years.”
Before it’s big reveal in Frankfurt, the new Defender has crossed the remote Charyn Canyon in Kazakhstan on its way to Germany.
According the Land Rover: “The road to reveal will test the new vehicle’s capability and durability as it crosses one of the world’s most landlocked locations, and travels among the towering 300m canyons in the Valley of Castles.”
