Expect high-tech concept cars and all-electric vehicles

The Frankfurt Motor Show kicks off this week, but many carmakers have already teased – or flat-out revealed – what they’ll be showcasing. This year’s big trend? Futuristic stylings and all-electric vehicles.

The Frankfurt show is seen as a chance for automakers to debut and premiere their most ‘out there’ models and concepts, and the 2019 event doesn’t look like it will disappoint.

Audi AI Trail Quattro

Audi has been teasing its “electrically-driven off-roader of the future” for a while now, meaning it’s almost certainly going to be unveiled in Frankfurt.

BMW Vision M Next

BMW’s Vision M next is a futuristic concept that has already been showcased to the press. This marks the first time it will be on display in the flesh, as part of its world tour. According to BMW, the concept represents the brand’s “driving experience of tomorrow”.

Hyundai ‘45’ EV

According to o Hyundai, the ‘45’ represents the future of its electronic vehicle design. The brand has described it as both sporty and sensuous, and the new design philosophy will be unveiled in concept car form later this week.

Mercedes-Benz EQ

Mercedes-Benz has been steadily teasing its new EQ concept over the past few weeks, and today published new images of the vehicle’s futuristic interior. The model is thought to be the EQS – which would make it the first of Mercedes-Benz’s experimental electric range to be part of its S-Series of saloons.

Cupra Tavascan

Cupra has already said what it will be bringing to Frankfurt. It’s a new SUV sport coupe, with an all-electric drivetrain. According to the boffs at the brand, it represents the company’s electric future.
