EA Games is re-releasing the iconic racing game next month

EA has said its award-winning Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is coming back, being remasterd for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The game will land ten years after it was first released, during the fast franchise’s heyday. The new version lets players drive a variety of supercars and police cars in the fictional Seacrest County.

The game was celebrated for its gameplay, as well as gripping single player campaign.

The remastered version will now support 4K gaming across all platforms, except Nintendo Switch which will still run at 1080p at 30 frames per second.

EA has said it is also improving the game. For example, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will also include new roadblocks and radar jamming elements, but new achievements, car colours and wraps.

There will also be a variety of downloadable challenges and packs.

The remastered Need For Speed game will arrive on PC, Xbox and PS4 on November 6. It will land on Nintendo Switch on November 13.

In other news, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is the very first proper Crash game since 1998.

While other platformers at the time (we’re looking at you, Super Mario 64) gave you big, wide-open spaces to explore, Crash has always given gamers a single corridor for you to leap over and gather apples.

Periodically the game moved to a side-scrolling point of view, with the odd boss fight to blend things up.
