DIFC restaurant Shanghai Me is opening its doors this week. The restaurant will welcome guests from May 20, 2020.
Bulldozer Group’s Asian restaurant Shanghai Me, which opened in November 2019, was voted as the best restaurant in Esquire Middle East 50 Best Restaurants in the Middle East this February.
In just a few months since opening and before the Covid-19 lockdown, Shanghai Me was one of the city’s hottest places to eat, and garnering such celebrity fans as Ronaldo, Akon and even the UAE’s Royal Family.
The restaurant features one of the best-looking dining rooms this side of the orient (which pays tribute to China’s 1930s art-deco movement) complete with an outdoor terrace and cocktail bar. Stand out main courses include Grilled Silver Cod with Yuzu Miso Sauce and Triple Cooked Angus Short-Ribs. Vegetarian and vegan options include Wok-Fried Aubergine in Chili Bean Sauce and Tender-Stem Broccoli with Oyster Sauce.
