If you haven’t seen it yet, a video was posted on the late (great) Michael Jackson’s twitter account. The video was a teaser announcing the release of a new album from the music icon. Yup, Jacko is still putting out smashes from beyond the grave.
Naturally, there is a catch. The Halloween-themed album entitled Scream will feature just one new song, alongside collection of some of his greatest hits. Or as the record label, Sony, puts it: “the King of Pop’s most electrifying and danceable tracks”.

The one new track: “Blood on the Dance Floor X” will feature as a bonus track and will be a mashup of five songs from remixer The White Panda.
This project will be the first of many to follow, “Now we have Thriller 3D, and two more announcements are coming up in the next couple of weeks,” estate co-executor John Branca explained recently. “Michael had an expression: ‘The quality goes in before the name goes on.’ So we are not ready to announce them yet.”
Scheduled to be released on the 29th of September, to coincide with the approaching Halloween, “Scream” will contain 14 songs.
In addition to streaming, the album will also be available in CD and glow-in-dark vinyl (which will be available October 27), each containing a poster unique to the format. The poster and cover art conceal the first ever augmented reality experience created for a Michael Jackson project.
“Scream” is also the title of the hit 1995 duet by Jackson and his sister Janet; also holder of world record title for most expensive music video with a reported price tag of $7 million.
Celebrations are also planned to be held in Paris, London, Sydney, Berlin, Los Angeles, and Tokyo for the release of the album.
