An undeniable banger, ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ remains to this day Bonnie’s only number one hit song. Having spent a brief four week spell atop of the charts all the way back in 1983, Bonnie’s initial success seems to have only just missed capitalising on the previous solar eclipse that Americans witnessed in 1979.
Sales for Bonnie’s single jumped a mammoth 500% this week, with the more surprising fact being that the hit song is still downloaded 1,000 times a week, even when there’s no eclipse in sight. Fans of Tyler and karaoke enthusiasts the world really have been holding on forever…
