New exhibition features the world’s most important paintings like you have never seen them before

Dubai’s Theatre of Digital Arts is kicking off a new exhibition, “From Monet to Kandinsky. Revolutionary Art”.

For those who have never visited TODA in Dubai’s Souk Madinat, it’s no ordinary art gallery. Instead, you sit in an ampitheatre while digital art is projected in front of you, behind you, above you, left, right, wherever really.

Stunning visuals combine with a spectacular soundtrack of classical music to create a totally engaging experience, especially if you’re not a fan of the ‘traditional’ art scene.

It’s trippy, whimsical and very, very Instagram-friendly.

The new exhibition features some of the most important artists and movements from the 19th and 20th centuries, including impressionism, pointillism, post-impressionism, cubism and expressionism.

You will see important works from Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Vincent Van Gogh, Edvard Munch, Paul Cézanne, Juan Gris, Robert Delaunay, Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky, all presented via HD projection with animated graphics and music.

The exhibition also includes a virtual reality room, which allows visitors the chance to get up close and personal with some of these important works (and even get inside some of them).

All the exhibition spaces are in line with current government COVID-19 guidelines, and sanitized regularly.

From Monet to Kandisnky. Revolutionary Art will run until the end of December.

In other news, Billie Eilish is about to host her first-ever solo livestream concert, ‘Where Do We Go? The Livestream’.

The show will go live on October 24, or her website. The Grammy award-winning singer will broadcast the ‘interactive’ concert from Los Angeles, and while a setlist is yet to be revealed it’s expected to include a great many of her previous hits along with a few new ones (perhaps?).
