Enter through the gift shop: 120 of Banksy’s pieces were recreated in Mall of the Emirates, showing from now until June 30

Banksy has re-entered the gift shop.

120 recreated Banksy pieces are on display now at Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates.

The completely unauthorized exhibition—which is just how Banksy likes it—is called “The World of Banksy”, and is the largest ever of its kind. It’s also for al limited time–running from yesterday until June 30.

If you’re wondering why it’s unauthorized, Bansky never authorizes events of this kind, though he encourages anyone to ‘copy and borrow’ his art.

The artist, who remains both the world’s most famous living artist and the most elusive, is one of the biggest draws, with his recreated exhibitions such as this one eagerly attended across the world.

The exhibit includes recreations of many of his most famous pieces, such as Girl with a Balloon, The Flower Thrower, The Mobile Lovers, and dozens more.

(Just to note again—these are not actual Banksy pieces, they are recreations.)

The exhibition is open daily from noon to midnight on Level 2 of the mall through the tTheatre, accessed straight from the car park under Ski Dubai.

Visitors are given no set time limit, and can spend as much time in the World of Banksy, which measures out to over 1000 square metres, as they wish.

Tickets are available online here, and prebooking is encouraged to avoid long queues, but if you want to queue up, tickets are also available at the Theater’s box office. Tickets are AED 45.
