The Indian Hotels Company’s iconic brand, Taj, has expanded its footprint in the Middle East with the opening of its second hotel – Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai on Sunday December 8, 2019.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by chief-guest His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Cabinet Member, Minister of Tolerance. During the occasion, His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan hoisted the UAE flag, unveiled the Taj signage, partook in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and lit a traditional Indian lamp to mark the highly-anticipated opening.
The hotel is according to the press release, the fusion of a century old legacy, seamlessly woven together by worldly contemporary sensibilities, and Indian heritage. It hopes to become JLT’s preferred business engine and social heartbeat, bringing with it two firsts – a rooftop pool bar and restaurant as well as an elegant ballroom.
With views of the Emirates Golf Club, Dubai Marina and the Arabian Gulf, the hotel’s 200 rooms and suites provide the perfect vantage point to observe the city’s glittering skyline. The sleek and bold design of the hotel is complemented with an infusion of Indian and Middle Eastern touches through an eclectic mix of art. It is the first hotel in the JLT neighbourhood to offer a large ballroom to host meetings, conferences and intimate wedding functions. Additionally, the exclusive Taj Club Lounge and round-the-clock gym form key features of the hotel.
Amongst its distinct dining options is the much-loved, Shamiana from the iconic Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, taking center stage with a pan-Indian menu and live entertainment. Located on the 46th floor of the hotel, Paros, a Mediterranean inspired rooftop pool bar and restaurant is a neighbourhood first. Guests can also enjoy TJ’s, a laid-back bistro-café.
Guests can avail the exclusive introductory offer for stays between 8th December 2019 and 10th January 2020. The offer includes daily buffet breakfast, one round of complimentary cocktails daily, early check-in and late check-out, subject to availability, and a 15% discount at all dining venues, to provide the perfect stay.
