The vintage-inspired watch is now even more retro-tastic

Bronze is back in a big way in the watch world, and Longines doesn’t want to miss out on the trend.

The Swiss watchmaker has now wrapped its Legend Diver in the warmly-toned metal, which gives the already vintage-inspired model an even more retro look and feel.

Of course, the beauty of bronze – which is why the watch world has collectively embraced the material – is that it ages beautifully, giving the wearer a patina that will be totally unique to that model.

The watch measures 42mm and it has some heft, thanks to the entire body being crated out of the metal. There are two crowns, one to adjust the time and the other to control the internal dive bezel that sits around the dark green dial.

All the markings and indices are coated with Super-Luminova, that comes in a dark green hue to match the dial colour. The hour and minute hands are made from pink gold for added colour.

Under the hood lies an automatic L888 movement that comes with a 64-hour power reserve. The watch can be fitted with either a brown leather or green nato strap.

The watch is available starting next month for US$3,000.
