Audemars Piguet has two new launches, and both feature a highly-technical flying tourbillon complication.
The first new launch is a take on Audemars Piguet’s signature Royal Oak. This is the first time the watch has been produced with a self-winding flying tourbillon, and the new watch is available in three case materials: stainless steel, titanium and 18-carat pink gold.
Both the stainless steel and pink gold versions have a sunburst dial spreading out from the flying tourbillon cage down the bottom of the dial, while the titanium model has a simple sandblasted gray case.
Under the hood lies a Caliber 2950 movement – which AP says is the next-generation of self-winding movements. And you can see the inner workings of the movement courtesy of a sapphire crystal case back.
All three styles of watch come in 41mm cases and are water resistant to 50 meters.

Second up is the new Code.59 by Audemars Piguet Self-winding Flying Tourbillon. It comes in two versions, one with a gold dial slathered in crushed aventurine glass and ‘Grand Feu’ enamel, and another with a black dial and 180-carat pink gold hands and hour markers.
Each has the same Caliber 2950 movement under the hood, and comes with a 65-hour power reserve. The code 11.59 models are water-resistant down to 30 meters, and both come with a black alligator strap.
Both self-winding flying tourbillon watches are available now, but price is only on request.
