Patek Philippe expands its pilot line of travel watches

Introducing the new Patek Philippe Ref. 7234G-001 Calatrava Pilot Travel Time; a new watch that rounds out the brand’s aviator-style watches.

The pilot’s line takes inspiration from the manufacture’s own watches it produced way back in the 1930s. The new Calatrava Pilot Travel Time has been brought bang up to date however, with pilot-style livery, GMT function, Alarm Travel Time, and a 24-hour alarm (all powered by a grand complication, of course).

In 2015, Patek Philippe introduced the first of Travel Time pilot’s line, which was directly inspired by a piece in the Patek Museum from 1936. The result was the Ref. 5524G Calatrava Pilot Travel Time, and it has since become a great example of the genre.

The new Calatrava Pilot Time Travel complements the original, this time coming in a 42mm white (or rose) gold. It’s charaterised by two hour hands at the centre, with the local-time hour hand adjusted via two pushers in one-hour steps. The date is synchronized with the local time.
