The updated movement will go on sale later this year

Breilting has added a rattrapante second chronograph movement to its 45mm gold edition of the Navitimer.

For those unawares, a rattrapante is a rare complication which lets a watch time two things at the same time (basically, a double chronograph). One chrono is operated using the top pusher, while the second – which is in red – works along with the pusher at the 3 o’clock.

Under the hood lies a Breitling Manufacture Caliber B03 COSC-certified movement that may be seen via a sapphire caseback. It comes on a black alligator leather strap with a pin buckle.

The 45mm case is made of 18-karat gold, and features a stratos gray dial. The hour an dminute hands are coated in Super-LumiNova.

Breitling is now taking inquiries for the watch, but hasn’t yet declared a shipping date.
