One of the most beloved Jordans of the last 20 years finally has a UAE drop date.
The Air Jordan 5 Toro Bravo will be available on April 23 at 2:00 PM GST.
It’s priced at AED 929 in the country, available in full family sizing.
The Toro Bravo, originally released in 2009, remains iconic of the era, worn by stars such as Ludacris and Ciara, and stayed popular ever since, worn by NBA superstar James Harden, Drake, Big Boi and Meek Mill.
This is the first time the spin on the AJ5 has been revived, bathing the singular design of the shoe with a bold shade of University Red.
It’s one of the most beloved shoes of the Jumpman brand, and is sure to be hotly sought after in its debut in the UAE.
The shoe is made with premium suede giving the street style an upscale feel, with stitchedgrpahics including the iconic 23, which doesn’t appear on all AJ5s, left off the recent white “Stealth” AJ5 launched in the UAE last month. There’s also a Jumpman on the rear.
It’s designed to “recall the silhouette’s glory days on the court,” according to Nike.
“Grab this piece of brand history before it exits the stage once again,” Nike’s statement continued.
The only difference between the 2009 pair and this rerelease is the ice blue outsoles. The original had plain translucent outsoles.
The box it comes in is a wood board print, much like the original.
