Arab Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2021/22 will be taking over the runway this week in the Middle East and internationally.
When it’s happening: The five-day program will be running virtually from 24-28 March 2021.
How to watch: The event will be exclusively streaming on Facebook and on the Instagram @arabfashionweek.
How to buy: Anything shown will be available for purchase either through Instagram or shop.arabfashionweek.com.
This year’s event will be running under “Dream Big, travel beyond” encouraging designers to do exactly that through digital technologies.
The event will feature 25 fashion designers from across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and America.
And as part of the AFC’s Green Label initiative, three designers who focus on sustainability will showcase a capsule collection. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM), the organization which coordinates Paris Fashion Week, will feature 6 Parisian designers.
In addition to the shows, the virtual programme will include Red Talks featuring industry experts. In Dubai, there will be showrooms and pop-up stores for the featured designers.
The official Arab Fashion Week schedule will be released on 22 March.
In the last year, the Arab Fashion Council, the organizers of Dubai Fashion Week, have been focused on managing the biggest issues of the time. At the end of last year the Arab Fashion Council partnered with the Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Design District to mobilize designers to produce PPE to support health sector front line workers.The Arab Fashion Council and Marie Claire Arabia launched the Beirut Fashion Relief Initiative to support the creative sector whose businesses were impacted by the explosion.
