Outdoor clothing is about to get a lot more fashionable

Italian fashion house Gucci and outerwear specialists The North Face are teaming up to produce a collaboration of fashionable and functional clothing.

Previously, The North Face has worked with the likes of Supreme, Junya Watanabe and Hender Scheme – however this will be the first time they will be teaming up with such a storied luxury fashion brand.

Gucci is not known for its outerwear, so the collection – which is currently only being teased – will certainly be interesting.

Both brands have very different styles when it comes to protecting from the elements; Gucci tends to opt for traditional coats and jackets in wool and leather, while The North Face embraces technological-wear such as GoreTex and breathable synthetic fabrics.

Apart from the video teaser you can see below, not much is known about their new project. But we should know more over the next few weeks.

In case you missed it, Gucci has had a busy month in September. In the last 30 days Gucci announced a brand new watch from its new seasonal lineup, that includes among other things a branded leather guitar case.
