Vans just made the perfect sneaker for your fall adventures, as its new UltraRange Hi MTE is both insulated and water-repellant

Athletes have always been an inspiration for Vans. From skating to surfing to hiking, the brand has had its eye on the world of sports since the beginning. That same interest helps influence the brand’s new designs, too.

This week, Vans launches the UltraRange Hi MTE, influenced by outdoor adventures and built to stand up to all kinds of activities (and weather).

The high-top iteration is new for this collection (a low version dropped earlier this year) and is made to be the only footwear you need while travelling.

It’s super lightweight, but still, has a seriously comfortable cushioned footbed that will keep you supported all day. It also has a crazy bottom grip (a reverse waffle lug, to be exact) that treads well in wet weather, plus a water-repellent outside. It’s available in three colours: black, ginger, and pewter.

When you think about it, a weather-resistant high-top sneaker is perfect for wearing outside in the fall. A lot of the adventures Vans references—exploring, modest hiking—could require either a sneaker or a boot, depending on the conditions. This high take strikes the best of both worlds: It feels like a sneaker but wears like a boot. Grab one in every colour.
