The UAE’s biggest golf event is almost here. Here’s everything you need to know…

The most exciting golfing event of the year is almost here, as is your chance to watch the world’s greatest golfers do what they do best out on the course. The DP World Tour Championship runs from November 16 to Sunday 19.

The championship will close out the season for The European Tour’s Race to Dubai, and will see 60 golfers battle it out for US$8 million (almost AED30 million). Expect Sergio Garcia, Jon Rahm and current Race to Dubai leader  Tommy Fleetwood, take on 2016 champion Matthew Fitzpatrick.

Of course, there’s also lots going on around the tournament itself:

18th Green Grandstand – the best seat in the house for watching who will be crowned the winner after 72 holes.
Left Bank – a popular spot on the side of the island green 17th hole. We don’t know how many balls we’ve lost off the tee of this iconic par three.
First Tee – get up close and personal as golfers tee off for the day.
Practice Range – watch the pros warm up, and hope to pick up a few pointers.
Championship Village – chill out on a bean bag, grab a bite to eat and watch the action on the giant screen. There’s even a kids’ zone for the little ones to have fun.
