This is the Batman desk clock we deserve (and the one we need right now)

There is plenty of disagreement and debate within the Esquire team, but one thing we are all in total agreement of is that the Batmobile from Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman film is by far the best one.

You can therefore imagine the excitement in the office when the independent design studio Kross Studio unveiled a state-of-the-art Batman desk clock as a part of its upcoming collaboration alongside Warner Bros.

The bodywork is made up of black aluminium composite, with aeronautical grade scratch protection coating and magnificently shapes the 1989 Batmobile, reproducing the same curves and proportions.

Limited to only 100 pieces, the clock is made up of 512 components — 115 for the bodywork and 397 for the custom-made, in-house movement – and powered by a mechanical manual-winding movement with an exceptional power reserve of 30 days.

In terms of readability, the hours and minutes are displayed horizontally by two cylinders, while a vertical regulator is highlighted through the turbine at the front of the car.
