A month ago Samsung made a big song and dance about being able to play Xbox games on its next-generation devices.
One month later, Xbox has quietly switched on the technology for iPhones and iPads. The feature will now be available via the Remote Play app on iOS thanks to a new update.
You will need to go via the Xbox iOS app (which has been given a nice new interface) where you will see a new feature that lets you stream games from a local Xbox console (but you need to be on the same Wi-Fi network).
Then you can pick up where your console left off.
It’s important to mention that while you can pair an Xbox controller to iOS, you’re also going to need the right version – with Bluetooth connectivity.
The update has also been optimized to work with the new Xbox Series X and Series S (when they arrive in November).
