The UAE’s Lionsgate Zone at the Motiongate themepark is adding to its rides, and in 2021 will feature the world’s first John Wick-themed ride.
This will mark the first time the action franchise – which is helmed by Keanu Reeves – will be turned into an amusement park ride.
There will also be a spinning roller coaster, inspired by the magic film Now You See Me. The single-car spinner will be the world’s fastest when it launches.
The new rides are part of an expansion to the Middle East Hollywood theme park. Both rides will be available in the first few months of 2021.
The John Wick: Open Contract ride will be set over 310-meters and propel riders over 60 kilometres per hour. It will deliver up to 2.8 G-Force over the course of the ride, while spinning its passengers.
The ride is inspired by the events of recent films, and guests will need to step inside the Continental hotel to embark on the hourney. The coaster will then race down a 4D track featuring both forward and backward movement, as well as freestyle spins.
The Now You See Me: High Roller ride aims to make passengers feel they are part of a daring escape by the film’s protagonists, the Horseman. It will see 180-degree turn sections, non-inverted loops and twists.

They will not disappoint even the most daring amongst us.”
