The day will celebrate the multicultural nation of the UAE

The UAE’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has announced a Day for Cultural Interaction Happiness.

The exact date will be announced next week, but cause for celebration will be to highlight the importance of our multicultural community in the country.

The day will become an annual feature on the UAE’s calendar. It will champion people from different nationalities and backgrounds from across the world who will meet up virtually through an online platform to shaire their experiences and ideas about cultural and religious beliefs.

The annual event will also include a number of public figures from around the world.

IACAD said that it drew inspiration from the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The Director-General of IACAD, Dr Hamad Al Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani said, “the initiative aims to build bridges between various communities in Dubai and the world. Through such initiatives, we want to deepen the concept of communications between different cultures.”

He said that Dubai is one of the only cities in the world that has embraced more than 200 nationalities within the city, as well as a range of cultures.

The Day of Cultural Interaction and Happiness will boost communication between communities.
