The big increase in numbers is down to one thing: pricing

According to new analyst numbers, Apple is expected to flog up to 80 million new iPhone 12 units this year alone.

The reports to DigiTimes reveal shipment numbers for the four new smartphones, the iPhone 12 mini, the iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

According to analysts, the increased sales will be down to a few factors – namely the price of the new set of iPhones, as well as the inclusion of 5G connectivity.

It is thought that the new speedier iPhone along with a more accessible price point (or at least, one that goes across categories) will be the ticket to a high number of sales.

With the iPhone 12 mini, getting a new flagship iPhone has never been easier on your wallet. However, Apple will also continue selling the iPhone SE and iPhone 11 for those looking for even cheaper smartphones.

The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro will be in stores on October 12, while pre-orders for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 mini will begin November 6 (and be in stores around the UAE on November 13).
