The metal casing looks good; is hard as nails

Casio has upgraded its hard-as-nails G-Shock watch with a new Metal Core Guard Structure.

The exclusive new watches are in the MT-GB2000 range, and come in two new forms. The Dual Core Guard shape is not only super hardy (and is backed up by a carbon monocoque case that is reinforced by carbon fiber) but also gives the watch a sleeker, more sophisticated profile.

Each watch comes with a black dial, however the bezels change. Under the hood, the new MT-G boasts a double coil motor for maximum efficiency.

The watch also has the capability of knowing where it is in the world, meaning it will automatically adjust itself to whichever time zone the wearer is in. That feature comes courtesy of the G-Shock Connected App.

Both watches cost around US$1,000 and will be available starting this month.

Previously, Casio unveiled another new model called the Gravitymaster.

As the name suggests, the new watch has been designed with pilots in mind. There are three models in the GRB200 range, which have carbon core guard construction, carbon-infused bezels and resin bands in either black, orange, or blue.
