Ramy Youssef was unfortunately left out of an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series last night, which led him to record an Instagram video about his loss.
The actor was beaten to the Emmy by Shitt’s Creek actor, Eugene Levy.
It seems the experience was a bit much, leading Youssef to create an Instagram video of one of the presented from the awards outside waving, and then leaving his house with the Emmy.
“When u lose the emmy,” the Ramy actor captioned on his clip. You can check out the equally funny and sad video below.
Previously Youssef described being nominated as “so wild”.
“This is a show about an Arab Muslim guy from New Jersey who jerks off too much and we got three Emmy nominations,” Youssef said. Youssef was also nominated for best director of a comedy series, and best supporting actor in a comedy series.
Fortunately for the show – and Youssef – Mahershala Ali won the best supporting actor gong.
Last night’s Emmy Awards looked very different last night. The award show was completely virtual (for obvious reasons) which meant that trophy presenters would drive to the houses of nominees, complete with hazmat suits.
