It’s a mean, green (and very expensive) racing machine

While you might not be someone who appreciates motor racing or the fastidious dedication to precision it takes to even get a sniff of a spot on the starting grid, what you can never do is label those involved as lazy.

Even earlier this year, when the racing season was suspended for five months, engineers and drivers alike kept their wits sharp by continuing to fine tune their skills remotely. While some drivers competed in virtual simulation races in order to raise money for good causes, Aston Martin went one step further by developing its own racing simulator.

The AMR-C01 Racing Simulator was developed in partnership with tech company Curv Racing Simulators, to create the ultimate luxury home racing experience.

Making a stylish addition to any luxury games room, the AMR-C01 has a lightweight carbon fibre monocoque and uses the latest technology to provide a fully immersive driving experience. The seating position mirrors that of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, adding a futuristic hypercar feel to the simulator.

“This was a challenge for the design team as, although the simulator isn’t a car, it is inspired by our racing cars,” says Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman. “It needed to exude the same elegance, boasting the same dynamic lines and balance of proportions as any Aston Martin with a racing lineage.”

While the order book for the AMR-C01 is now open, the fact that it is limited to just 150 pieces means that it will set you back a hefty AED250,000 – but at least you wont have to pay for any speeding tickets.
