Jeff Bezos made US$13 billion in a single day last month

The pandemic has been very good for some people, most notable Jeff Bezos who has seen his personal net-worth increase by about US$70 billion dollars.

That now gives him a personal net worth of over US$200 billion, making him not only by far the richest man in the world but also the first person to ever amass that amount of wealth.

In fact, Bezos’ personal fortune might just be the most amount of money that anyone has ever earned in history. And that’s including sovereign wealth.

Bezos and Amazon have seen a huge surge in stock prices since the pandemic struck in January. The company’s stock prices reflect the changing habits of consumers due to COVID-19 and the marked increase of online shopping.

In July, Bezos increased his net worth by US$13 billion in a single day – so it’s safe to say that his wealth isn’t going to drop anytime soon.

Bezos is now US$90 billion dollars ahead of the second-richest person in the world, currently worth US$116 billion.

So, how has the pandemic been for you?
