Sony’s has started pre-order registration for gamers who want the next-generation console first

Sony thinks its next-generation PlayStation 5 is going to be a big hit, and to ensure that gamers who really, really, want the console can actually get it (just in case it were to sell out, for example) it has allowed loyal PS fans to pre-register for PS5.

The Japanese firm says it has set aside a load of PS5 consoles to be allocated to pre-registered customers, on a first-come-first-serve basis. However, there is one caveat.

Sony wants to ensure consoles go to the most loyal of PlayStation fans, which is why the offer is limited to those with a PSN account. And there are limits to what you can actually order to ensure people aren’t picking up the console to immediately flog it.

You can currently pre-register for a single PS5 console, two DualSense Wireless Controllers, two DualSense charging stations, two media remotes and two wireless headsets.

One more caveat to note here; Sony has not said how much customers will have to pay. Therefore, pre-registration could be a costly way to go about getting a new PS5.

So it could be a very costly way to get the next-generation console before anyone else.

Head over to Sony’s PlayStation 5 pre-registration site now to be one of the first to get it.
