Hoping to both ease pre-flight stress levels and reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19, Etihad Airways has announced that it will be offering an at home testing service for UAE-based travellers before their flight.
Joining forces with Mediclinic Middle East, the Abu Dhabi-based carrier is offering the service as part of the Etihad Wellness, Sanitisation, and Safety Programme that was introduced to ensure that the highest hygiene standards are at every stage of a passenger’s journey.
With some destinations that Etihad flies to requiring a coronavirus test medical certificate before departure, all travelers are advised to check Etihad’s website for specific country requirements.
You can book your test with Mediclinic on (800) 2022. If you travel into a local Mediclinic service provider, you can get the test for AED252.
For the home service, it will cost you a little more, as there is essentially a ‘call-out’ fee. The price of one test at home is AED525.
Customers traveling to all Etihad destinations can take advantage of Mediclinic service centers throughout the United Arab Emirates, not just in Abu Dhabi.
