Saudi Arabia hasn’t been high on the list of places to visit for a lot of people. But given the new e-tourist visa launch and the long list of tourism projects underway — Red Sea project NEOM — their latest tourism campaign might just tempt you to book your flight.
The Kingdom will hand out the first of its e-tourist visas in about 14 days.
In a surprising and ambitious first video campaign released on Twitter, Saudi Arabia has teased the new destination by comparing different locations in the country to the likes of Maldives, Utah, Carribbean, Italy, Australia, Vietnam, Petra and Rockies.
Through a series of aspirational montages, the video campaign shows views that places you thought couldn’t exist in Saudi Arabia, actually do. From scuba diving adventures, to UNESCO world heritage sites and even rock climbing adventure seekers, the country wants to appeal to all kinds of travellers.
In a way, the main goal of this campaign seems to be changing the way the country is percieved by international markets.
