Reif Japanese Kushiyaki, located in the Dar Wasl Mall has opened to rave reviews

The man who blasted Zuma in Dubai into the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list has just opened his new restaurant in Dubai.

Dubai is known for many interesting dining places and Othman has been the man behind many of those interesting places. After a decade at the helm of various restaurants in Dubai like Zuma Dubai, Billionaire Mansion, Play, the Singaporean chef has finally decide to invest in a place of his own.

Reif Japanese Kushiyaki, located in the Dar Wasl Mall has opened to rave reviews and has a long waiting list of diners eager to try out his new venue. The newly opened restaurant is based on the Japanese street food concept, Kushiyaki. It involves the delicate process of serving food on skewers.

The menu will have a variety of dishes to choose from ranging from several skewer options, gyozas,  clay pot rice dishes, ramen, and desserts.

But there’s one experience that’s just for the die-hard foodies. Diners will soon have the option to try out the Chef’s Table menu where they’ll be able watch the chef hard at work while enjoying a special menu.

In a recent interview with CatererMiddleEast.com, the chef says: “you will be able to get a “good meal for below AED200 with well-stocked yakitori skewers available at around AED30-40 each and a filling chicken and rice dish priced at around AED60.”

But if you’re one of many trying to get a reservation at the newly opened restaurant, the chef says “it’s better to come early than later in the evening”.

With just 29 seats, and a very afforable pricetag, we recommend you make reservations before you go.

Reif Japanese Kushiyaki is open six days a week from 12:00pm to11:00pm, and open till 12:00 am on Thursdays and Fridays. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
