Don’t let the landscape and climate fool you, in the UAE, barriers don’t really exist. Abu Dhabi is working on the largest snow park of its kind in the world.
The 125,000-sq-ft destination will feature a total of 13 rides and attractions and will feature a load of snow-filled activations. Rides like ‘Blizzard’s Bazaar’, ‘Snowflake Garden’ and ‘Flurries’ Mountain’ have already been announced.
The Blizzard’s Bazaar will be a selection of retail outlets that will offer cold-weather clothing, postcards, and other souvenirs.
The Snowflake Garden is your classic ‘play in the snow’ area, but will also include ice labyrinths, snowman building and other snowy games.
Flurries’ Mountain will lead up to the ‘Enchanted Tree’, the centrepiece of the area, sprawling over the entire park.
“With an incredible story and stunning visual attractions, Snow Abu Dhabi will deliver truly enchanting experiences for the whole family,” said Shane Eldstrom, CEO of Al Farwaniya Property Developers.
“The activities and environments will work together, allowing guests to make new discoveries and experience shared memories, while creating a destination to which they wish to return again and again. The story behind Snow Park Abu Dhabi is the great differentiator from any other snow park in the world, and we look forward to revealing more details in due course.”
Despite the 40° C or more temperature outside, the park will have an inside temp of just -2° C, along with a snow depth of an impressive 500mm.
