Fujifilm’s latest little instant camera has a trick up its sleeve, it can add audio to your printed out image
-
The camera has the ability to record audio that is then applied to the prints in the form of a QR code
-
You can then scan this QR code on your phone to hear the audio
Fujifilm and the rest of the world are very aware just how much people love a nostalgia trip these days, what’s cooler than a chic little instant camera? Fujifilm though are daring to make these little things even cooler with the ability of now adding audio to your favourite instant pics in the form of a QR code.
The new Instax Mini LiPlay is like any trendy polaroid style camera, it features a 28mm F/2 fixed-focus lens and a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor with an adjustable ISO of 100-1600, it also boasts a 2.7 inch colour LCD screen on the rear which allows users to select from 30 frames and six photos.
The camera’s true trick though is that it can add a little QR code to your instant picture, and when you scan the code, it will play a piece of audio from the moment you took that picture, adding to the experience.
Perhaps this is what all the milenials need in the world right now,. It’s clear they all love some nostalgia, look at the Nintendo Entertainment System being released or the iPod touch, what you see though is just a few twists and changes to make it fit into the modern world a bit better. Adding QR codes to your retro camera is one of these updates.
Not only does it have QR codes, but it of course houses Bluetooth, you can print photos from your smartphone from the camera in just 12 seconds. Yep, it doubles as a printer for your Instagram pics.
The camera is priced at around $159.95 and comes in black, gold or white.
