Gyms always come and go, they’re often a simple premise, get a big air conditioned room, put enough different machines in to allow people to work which muscles they want, put some dumbbells in and put some TVs and loud music around. StudioRepublik is set to be so much more than that…
We’ve all been there, we promise ourselves we’re going to start a health kick, we start a gym membership, we go every day for two weeks and feel great about it and then poof, we never go again. The issue is that a lot of gyms do not offer any motivation to attend beyond simply working out, and for a lot of us, this can be a bit of a boring experience that we have to force ourselves to go to.
StudioRepublik is on the case with its latest 65,000 sq/ft ‘community’, seen as it’s much more than just a gym, it has the right to call itself a community.
The centre is built upon three platforms: The Lab, which is integrated wellness, The Stage, which is performing arts, and The Arena, which is group exercise.
While The Arena is your bona fide gym, where you may think you will make all your gains and get beach body ready, it’s likely The Lab where you’re going to work best towards the true Thor bod (we’re talking Infinity Wars Thor, not Endgame). The Lab is where a team is present to give you the best help in dieting, rehab/prehab, personal training and massage therapy. This is the place that can probably strengthen your mind to help you meet those goals you really want and kick the Uber Eats addiction.
The centre itself describes it as a place to understand and manage your own bodies even better, taking into account your goals and lifestyle. And if you’re thinking that most fancy gyms do this, trust us when we say these folks will likely do it better, it’s all even tracked on an app for extra convenience and cool factor.

The Stage is where the whole becoming a better person idea comes in, with dance classes and its own community recording studio. This is where you can exercise your mind important part of your body, your brain. Also, gone are the awkward encounters in the gym as this place is set in a friendly atmosphere, you’re likely to make a few friends here. All sorts of dance disciplines are offered, ranging from any skill level or age.
Also with the recording studio, imagine being able to achieve your goal of forming your own band and achieve your goal of getting the aforementioned Thor bod.

The Arena is your classic gym set up, full of all the best machines and weights. We admit it all looks a bit Black Mirror, but in the cool way, before the treadmills start eating your feet. The Arena is full of awesome art, visuals, music and lighting, which the centre says stimulates your senses, alters your mood and helps you achieve the mind set for peak physical improvement.

StudioRepublik, though looking all Black Mirror-y, could very well be the future of fitness, creating a community and an experience rather than a bleak room with some treadmills. It’s set up in such a way to make you excited about going to the gym, and even meet new people. If you can’t tell, Esquire is really pumped about it.
